Tips for the PERFECT Spray Tan

AVOID
Any product on your skin after your prep shower. Moisturizers, Perfumes, Oils, Makeup can all prevent your spray from absorbing correctly. We suggest only using products before/during/after your spray that is made for sprays! Read below for our favorite products and how to use them in your routine for the best results!

*Exfoliate
Not all products are the same! We suggest the Selfie Sunless Tan Remover to get your skin ready for your spray and using the Selfie Exfoliating Mitt. Use the remover on your skin about 20 minutes before showering and buff it out with a mitt! Spraying or not, we suggest exfoliating one time per week to keep skin young and fresh!
Exfoliate about a day before your spray! You want no sooner than 4 hours before your spray and no later than 24 hours before your spray. Make sure to exfoliate THEN shave ;)

Shower & Shave
Remember to leave your sunless application on for optimal results. Our in salon spray booth may be rinsed anywhere from 4 to 24 hours after your spray depending on desired darkness! Make sure to use products that keep your tan on your body and not washed down the drain! We are in love with the new Double Bubble Selfie Wash designed for after spray tan care! Needing to shave? Leave It Be & Wear Comfy, Loose Clothing.
Put on your Sunday Morning lounge clothes. You want baggy, loose clothes after your spray! Forgot loose clothes? No worry! Ask for our Tan N Chill Loungewear to go home in!

Skin Care Routine
We suggest using salon quality, tan extending washes, moisturizers. face creams and tanning lotions. Believe it or not, over the counter ones are not formulated to extend the life of your tan, and most have ingredients in them that will strip or fade your color! The more hydrated your skin is, the longer it will last. Using the right shower products won't wash your tan down the drain, either. Pro Tip: PAT dry with towels after showers so you don't rub your spray tan off.

Time is on your side
Your body can't take that much spray tan, so we suggest spraying 1 time in a 7 to 10-day period with our long lasting solution. If at day 10 you still have color we would like to go over your after care routine as your skin may not be hydrated enough to healthy shed dead skin cells like it is supposed to.  After 4 weekly sprays we suggesting skipping a full week so your solution can fall completely off. Too much spray will cause you not to hold color well. We use a luxe formula that lasts!!!

Enjoy a cocktail, aka a double dip session!
You may UV tan in any unit before a spray tan with the use of double-dip approved lotions. We carry a huge variety! Or you can use a stand up UV session after your spray (borrow a robe and we can send you right over)  for about 4 minutes max to dry and lock in your tan a little better! But you can't lay down tan after a spray cause the spray will stick to the bed (yikes), and you can't uv tan before without special lotion cause no lotion will dry out your skin and make the tan settle wonky, and you can't just use any product cause ingredients in most lotions will block the spray from absorbing.
